My résumé as Interpreter & Translator
Born in 1984, I am a native Italian translator and interpreter based in Rome, Italy. I obtained my Bachelor’s Degree in Science of Linguistic Mediation in Italian, English and French with honours at Scuola Superiore per Mediatori Linguistici di Ostia (Rome) in 2005 and then passed, with honours, a 2-year Master's Degree in Conference Interpreting at the University of International Studies (UNINT) in Rome, Italy, in 2007. I then enrolled at the Faculty of Law, University La Sapienza in Rome and passed the main law exams of the first 2 years.
I have studied foreign languages since secondary school. I am a globetrotter and I have been travelling the world since I was a teenager. I was also a flight attendant for Alitalia in 2006-2007.
I have been working as a full-time freelance translator and interpreter since 2003. I collaborate with top-quality translation agencies in Italy on a regular basis, as well as with important companies, institutions and embassies. I am also an expert in EU project management, having worked as a translator and interpreter for Lazio’s Regional Council, Direction of Infrastructures, Environment and Housing Policies from 2009 to 2016.
I have been a qualified member of the Italian Association of Translators and Interpreters (AITI) since 2014.
I am passionate about this job and I regularly attend training courses and travel as much as I can.
